Laboratory Order

Introduction

A laboratory service request is a formal request started by a healthacre provider for specific laboratory test/s to be performed on a patient´s biological sample/s (such as blood, urine, tissue or other body fluids). For handling laboratory related order from an external system to a Cambio system via COS, there are several profiles that can be used. The profiles can be used for orders of single analysis or a pack of orders requested at the same time.

Included Profiles

• ServiceRequestLabOrderReferal - This is a Service Request profile to be used for laboratory orders, that may include several analyses.
• ServiceRequestLabAnalysis - This is a Service Request profile to be used for individual laboratory analysis orders.

Use Cases

• Create an order for a single laboratory analysis using ServiceRequestLabAnalysis.
• Create a package of service requests including laboratory orders using ServiceRequestLabOrderReferal and ServiceRequestLabAnalysis.
• Create one or several service request for laboratory orders using ServiceRequestLabOrderReferal.
