Radiology

Introduction

FHIR profile defined for radiology sets the minimum amount of information for exposing radiology results as observations, the content in the results section of a radiology report is shown using this observation profile.

Intended Use

Profiles added under this section should be able to use to expose observations in the context of radiology.

Included Profiles

The profiles used to represent radiology related information are the following:

• DiagnosticReportRadiology - used to retrieve a complete radiology report.
• ObservationRadiology - used to see results of a radiology report. It is used as an included profile in the DiagnosticReportRadiology profile.
• ServiceRequestRadiology - used to retrieve the request information of a radiology report, this is also used as an included profile in the DiagnosticReportRadiology but can also be used separately.

Use Cases

• Search for radiology reports by patient, report id and date range using DiagnosticReportRadiology .
