Resource Profile: ObservationMicrobiologyResistance

Introduction

The ObservationMicrobiologyResistance profile represents the resistance results done for a microbiology sample and is a profile created from the resource Observation. Since there can be many resistance results for a result of a microbiology sample, this separate observation profile is used to record that information. The data available from COSMIC to this profile is only starting from R8.3.03 COSMIC release, information created before this release cannot be taken from this API.

Intended Use

The profile ObservationMicrobiologyResistance is used for communicating resistance test results done for a microbiology sample value in the element observation.value. The API can be used to read resistance results sent from a laboratory to COSMIC. This observation profile is linked to the ObservationMicrobiology profile using the hasMember field in the profile.
