Resource Profile: ObservationHeadCircumferenceRelative

Introduction

The ObservationHeadCircumferenceRelative profile represents the vital parameter Head Circumference and is a profile created from the resource Observation. Head Circumference relative is an observation concerning Head Circumference of a person's biological mother or father. Measuring this parameter helps doctors to predict the brain's growth and find any deviation. The profile is derived from the standard FHIR profile Head Circumference which makes the profile compliant with the FHIR standardized way of communicating vital sign data.

Intended Use

The profile ObservationHeadCircumferenceRelative is used for communicating an entry of a patient's relative's Head Circumference, by sending a value in the element observation.value.

Read Head Circumference for Relative

• Intended use is in first hand that the API is applied for direct access and should not be used to transfer data between caregivers. If it should be used for copying inbetween care givers patient consent must be handled outside the API.
